We are incredibly proud to have been appointed to help Gloucester Guildhall increase their digital capacity!
With up to 250,000 people visiting Gloucester Guildhall each year it is easy to see why it is Gloucestershire’s liveliest and diverse venue! The venue has cinema, a concert hall, theatre, galleries, multiple meeting and conference spaces plus the bars and Kitchen all housed in a beautiful Grade II listed building.
The Guildhall's unique cinema is housed in the sumptuous oak-panelled former council chamber, and its diverse mix of classic films, art-house releases and big screen blockbusters is the most exciting in the county.
The Guildhall's main auditorium was originally a Victorian civic ballroom, and features one of the best sprung dance floors in the county. The auditorium now hosts regular concerts and performances, including The Big Laugh Café, the county’s longest running comedy club, and Acoustica, Gloucestershire’s finest acoustic music night.
The Guildhall also stages hundreds of workshops every year, from Jazzjive to breakdancing, yoga to life drawing, and has a year-round programme of cutting edge new art and photography exhibitions.
Over the years the Gloucester Guildhall has hosted many acts who have since become household names, including stadium-filling bands and artists such as Muse and Radiohead, current chart stars The Cribs and Maximo Park and big name comedians like Jimmy Carr, Jo Brand and Dara O’Briain. With great comedy nights at the Gloucester Guildhall like 'Giggle at the Guild' and the 'Big Laugh Café', the chances of seeing another future big name star is very likely!!!
HFLbroadband will be installing one of our private fibre internet connections. The 1GB (1000Mbps) connection will bring the Guildhall a huge increase in the bandwidth on offer to their customers. The ultra-fast speeds will open the door to so many more digital experiences. Live Streaming the amazing events throughout the year, gaming events etc. are all within reach now!
Further to installing our private fibre that links back to Telehouse East in London’s docklands, we will be installing fibre internally using the latest technology to future proof the venue and allow for the ultra-fast speeds throughout the venue! The WiFi access points we will be using the latest WiFi standards bridging the gap between gigabit and ‘multi-gigabit’ WiFi. The access points are designed for reliable, secure, ultra-high-performance connectivity to large enterprises, public venues, convention centres, and other challenging environments! Once installed we will proactively monitor and support the Guildhall to keep staff and the 100,000’s of guests that pass through each year highly connected!
